Bio
My name is Jason Wheeler and I am an amateur hobbyist photographer with a love for artistic photography. I live in Angleton Texas with my wife and three children. I work in the IT field and am employed locally for an energy retailer. I have been doing photography now for about a year and am still sorely upset that I did not find out about this passion when I was much younger.
I am never satisfied with the ordinary photograph and always strive for the best perspective as well as the most beautiful way to present the capture. I typically lean more towards the urban environment for my photographic subject. I enjoy doing landscapes as well but in this local area I struggle to find a satisfying subject for nature and landscape photography.
About 90% of my work is done using HDR. I find myself using HDR in subtle ways most of the time and believe that it should be used as a compliment to an already great photograph as opposed to a way to make any photograph look interesting.
In my work, the goal is to show not only the frame of vision that I observed at the time but also the feeling that was present during capture.
